What is the Con Edison Smart AC program?

The Con Edison Smart AC program allows customers to earn rewards by participating in Cool Points Hours. From time to time (around 4 times a year), Con Edison may hold Cool Points Hours where participating air conditioners will change settings to use less energy for a short period of time. Each Cool Points Hours event should last no more than 4 hours and consumers will be notified 24 hours ahead of time, with the choice to opt out.
